Getting started

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The initial consultation is free and there is no obligation. It is a phone or video call about your project.

What does the free consultation include?

We talk through your space, what you want to change, your priorities, timing and budget range, and whether permits or drawings are likely to be needed. You come away knowing what the next steps would be.

Can we talk outside business hours?

Yes. Free consultations are available in the evening and on weekends by appointment, so you can talk to us when it suits you.

How quickly will you reply?

We reply to every enquiry within one business day.

Can we speak before buying a property or signing a lease?

Yes, and it is a good idea. Share the intended use, the location and any property information you have, and we can talk through what the renovation could involve.

Do I need drawings before contacting you?

No. Start with the information you have. If drawings are needed as the scope develops, we can arrange them; their cost is quoted separately.

Scope & cost

What size of project do you take on?

We take on work from single rooms to whole homes and full commercial fit-ups. Tell us about your project and we will confirm fit during the consultation.

How is the price presented?

You receive a detailed scope and price, with allowances, exclusions and assumptions explained before you approve the work.

How are unforeseen conditions and changes handled?

Any change is documented with its cost and timing impact and approved by you before extra work proceeds.

How long will the renovation take?

It depends on the scope, site conditions, selections, supply lead times and any permits. We set out a schedule during planning and keep it updated.

During the work

Can we stay at home during the renovation?

Often, yes. It depends on the work areas, access, utilities and safety. We plan protection and any temporary arrangements with you before work starts.

Can our business stay open during the work?

Often a phased approach makes this possible. We review safe access, noise, dust and critical utilities with you; some work may need short closures or after-hours scheduling.

Who manages our project?

You have one point of contact at Omni Renovation for scope, progress, decisions and changes, from planning through to handover.

Where do you work?

Ottawa and surrounding communities, including Kanata, Stittsville, Barrhaven, Nepean and Orléans. We confirm availability for your location during the consultation.

Permits & warranty

Can you help with permits?

Yes. When a permit is needed, we can coordinate it for you: confirming what is required, arranging drawings, preparing and submitting the application, and following up with the City.

How are permit fees handled?

Permit application fees, drawings and any design or engineering fees are quoted separately, as their own line items, before any permit work begins.

Is permit approval guaranteed?

No. The City or reviewing authority decides on approvals, conditions and processing times. We coordinate the process and keep you informed.

What warranty applies?

Warranty coverage, duration and exclusions are set out in writing in your project agreement, along with any manufacturer warranties.
